oxford st (and my new found love for kmart?)

I'm not gonna lie, I really don't get out much. But that is completely by choice. I can be a bit of a hermit and much prefer the comfort of my chair and the internet-world at my fingertips than the constant pounding of music or even the outdoors. This year, I made a bit of a resolution to make more of an effort to see friends (especially since I hadn't seen them in a year whilst I was in the UK), Sydney (my beloved hometown) and what lies beyond my bedroom door -- and a lot more often. Fortunately, I can say that's pretty much the only resolution I've stuck to so far and arguably the most important!

Because I've got so much to buy these days, what with trying to convert my room into something more two-person-friendly, I'm seriously lacking in funds. This explains my constant search for a Primark-like store here in Australia and I think I've found it, albeit a much crappier version: Kmart. I'm not even joking.

Also due to my lack of disposable money, I planned to catch up with my old friend, Lori, by just having some food at her place while watching a DVD and chatting. When she came to pick me up, though, she decided I was much too dressed up for a cosy night in and so, naturally, she took me out. Haha!

A note on the first photo: hah! my hair just blends into my coat and I look like an internet-browsing sasquatch. I kind of find this awesome.
A note on the last photo: I've decided to close my food blog, Feast Fancies, and just make it a Friday feature on this 'ere blog! So expect to see at least one picture of delectable edibles every Friday from this point forward!

So! Here I am, writing this blog post at 3.30am because I've royally messed up my sleeping pattern for good, I think. I really have to stop sleeping in... uh!
