rising smoke

Not gonna lie, at first, I was pretty reluctant to shoot anywhere but in front of a brick wall upon arriving back to Australia and no longer having Richard's house-side to use for this reason anymore. You (and by you, I mean fellow outfit-loggers) know when you find that perfect backdrop that has enough of a solid colour to not draw attention away from the outfit, yet still have some sort of interesting thing about it to not be boring? I had that with Richard's brick wall.

And now I have it in front of this bedraggled shed in my back yard.

Granted, I'd still much prefer to change up my location more often, but until I muster up both the willpower to wake up earlier in the morning and the negotiation skills to get Richard to follow me around with our camera... ain't nobody got time fo' dat.

  2. That's a great backdrop, the lighting is beautiful. You look very Bohemian, very fresh and lovely. I'd like to get some snaps outside but I'd find it a bit awkward with folks around me!

  3. I think the backdrop is nice, especially with that outfit! It gives it kind of a vintage feel. My neighborhood is just full of crazy graffiti - sometimes it's a bit much. My blog is covered in graffiti all the time.

Anyways, I love your blog! I've followed you so I'll be back!

  5. Lovely shots! And I so know what you mean about finding the right backdrop. I'm particularly attached to the back of a door in our spare room at the moment. The light pours through the window and is perfect. Our shed and garden is way too busy. And investigating a new brick wall down by the canal this afternoon!
