I may be day dreaming about a 50's housewife's dream gadget. I may be trying to detract you from noticing how completely un-ironed my dress is (FUN FACT: I met Richard in this dress! Aww! Post Valentine's Day romantic gesture!). I may have failed in the latter by mentioning steam irons and creases in the first place. Either way, the point remains: the title "Country Girl" refers more to the fact that my dress is a little dishevelled in an I've-just-been-riding-horses kind of way, and the colour palette sort of makes me think of denim and cowboy boots.

You are totally giving me inspiration on outfits for spring! I love the shoes as well :)

I've got a bit of a thing for slouchy knit jumpers lately, and I'm loving yours; the colour is gorgeous, and I always like it when jumpers are longer in the back :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way the sweater looks over the dress!

Wow! This is such a fun read and you hit upon something I need so badly too! A steamer is just the thing I need, too! Especially if I was too lazy to iron!!!

Girl, you so cute! Sometimes I simply can't be bothered to iron things and (try to) convince my friends that it's the new look. Yeeeeah. xxx
ReplyDelete(The cute thing was in reference to the "wore this when I met Richard" part of the post. Not the steamer part. That's not really cute, per se)

I think the style of the photos and the colour palette make it look like it was meant to be a bit creased on purpose. Also it looks delightfully warm where you. Very jealous!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I love that you remember what you were wearing when you met your man :) So adorable.

I love this outfit! I can't wait for summer to reach north america so I can wear bare legs again. I agree about the steamer. I hang my clothes int he bathroom when I take a hot shower and pretend that a steam does the same magic. Sadly it doesn't but I refuse to iron so instead I am going to continue to pretend that it works just as well.
ReplyDelete-Emily
love the colour combination & the neckline of the dress, beautiful photos too :)
ReplyDeleteYour style is unbelievable amazing! You look gorgeous girl X
